MEET THE MIDWIFE

COTTAGE COMMUNITY MIDWIFERY & BIRTH CENTER
Supporting Women and Families through Pregnancy & Postpartum

Chemin Pérez, LM

  • Licensed Midwife

A large part of my life has been spent supporting women in home birth. I first felt God call me to support women in this way back in 1987 when I gave birth to my first child in the beautiful city of Sequim. I went on to birth four children and adopt four more!. During those years, I moved to Los Angeles and enjoyed assisting local midwives while raising a family. The last six years I have had the honor of serving family's both in their homes and at my birth center in Los Angeles. Recently I have returned back to the city of Sequim. I am excited to return, serve as a community midwife and enjoy this beautiful state!

My goal through midwifery is to provide a “Bethsadia” place. To me this means a place of healing waters; a place women and their families feel safe to birth a new season or heal from an old one. My prayer for the person reading this: You are beautifully and wonderfully made, the apple of God's eye. You are His purpose. Nothing is impossible with Him. I embraced Christ centered birth. His faithfulness and love is ever-present at the perfect time for every man and woman. When we feel weak He is strong for us. We can rest in His arms. We will run and not grow weary, we will walk and not grow faint! Birth is a wonderful opportunity for God to stretch and grow a woman while He continues to empower and raise up a father. Birth is a miraculous experience and I am honored to serve each family during their season of joy as they deliver their new baby into the world.
